Testimonials

I am qualified to level 5 and have been on many training courses, but I can honestly say that I have learnt so much more with Alex.
She is incredibly inspirational and is so passionate about teaching and learning. I am sure that if Alex had a magic wand, her wish would be that every child has access to quality learning experiences.

During training Alex gives stories and personal experiences to help you understand the importance of what you are learning, in turn taking this into your setting. Alex won’t just give you a task, but will explain why.

I have learnt so much from Alex and look forward to gaining so much more inspirational knowledge from her in the future.

“Alexandra’s passion for high quality Early Years provision is threaded throughout everything she says and does in her training, but the most important and inspiring aspect for me is that everything is all built on a foundation of positive, communicative connections with children, supporting them to feel safe and valued at all times. This so often gets lost amongst the day-to-day demands of Early Years settings (and in modern life!) but it really is the only way to ensure children grow and develop to their full potential. Alex is warm, lively and exciting to listen to. She has a way of teaching that keeps people engaged and she clearly demonstrates the importance of putting the joy back into learning. It should be a mandatory requirement that everyone working with children attend at least one of her sessions! 😊” – Nicky Smith Local Authority Early Years SEND Advisor

Alex came to our rescue really when Kay and I took over managing Peter Pan. We really needed to see what we were doing well, what we had totally missed the mark on and what improvements we could make. Alex came in and instantly put us at ease, no judgements, no put downs just honest advice and guidance. It was a tough take over for us and we were struggling with how to manage the staff at the time as they struggled with change of new management and our way of doing things and we were struggling to find the motivation to make things better for the children but one day with Alex changed all of that. Alex helped us see our vision was possible, gave us strategies for how to get there and reignited the passion.

There was a natural turnover of staff which paved way for us to seek out staff who were invested in our children and being passionate about what we provide for our children. When we had a wobble for how this looked to parents Alex was on hand to reassure us and for us to keep going and she was right.

2 years down the line and Alex is still very much there for us, guiding us, reassuring us, giving us new ideas and always so supportive and we can’t thank her enough. I do not know where we would be now without Alex (I do know I wouldn’t still be in this job). I think you meet everyone for a reason and we feel so lucky that Alex commented on our post for help and guidance and that Alex makes all the time for us that she does. A truly lovely lady. Thank you Alex

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Alex on several occasions. I have previously participated in some excellent marmalade online training that were very informative, easy to follow and the things I learned have been incredibly helpful in my role as a nursery manager.
Recently, we were fortunate to welcome Alex into our early years setting. She shared her knowledge, skills and experience, providing support as we develop as a new and unique setting. Alex provided useful tips, introduced new working methods and demonstrated how to enrich the children’s learning. She took the time to collaborate with each member of our team, ensuring we all felt at ease while offering valuable advice and guidance.

I found Alex by accident on Facebook and I am so glad that I did. It was initially the “Facebook lives” which drew me in as they were relevant to practice, which then led to us buying short courses, closely followed by a consultancy visit and a full team attendance at the conference. We literally ended up engaging in the full package without intending to.
The impact on the setting has been immense, as Alex builds in so much content, practical ideas and reflection.
Her enthusiasm and passion for Early Years is infectious and had really captured and engaged the team prompting new ideas and conversation.
We have just signed up to join the Marmalade Club as we have been so impressed and we can’t wait to see what Alex offers next!

Alex has been a fantastic help to our setting. We chose Alex to help us with our curriculum, after watching a short video on her Facebook page where she explained things in such an simple and easy way. When Alex came to our setting we realised there were other areas of focus, which Alex supported with on the day and afterwards.
We have just this week implemented Alex’s planning system which is easy to follow and time saving.
Not only is Alex warm, empathetic and realistic, her knowledge is second to none and she goes above and beyond. We felt Alex’s visit was so beneficial we have booked her in again to come back and continue her support.
